The Government has published the Housing White Paper on Tuesday and confessed that we are not building enough houses, so no news there.

The White Paper – ‘Fixing our broken Housing Market’  is digging deeper into the issue then just increasing the number of homes built.  It includes a wide range of suggestions from safe guarding the green belt and improving training opportunities for building trades to support for more innovation in the sector and more sustainable building.

The document covers issues on the fringe of the actual building sector, ie increased protection of private renters, bringing institutional investors into the market and proposals to update climate change factors.
